HOW TO CREATE THE PERFECT PROTEIN SMOOTHIE

Want something fresh to spruce up your protein shake?

With this recipe you get all lots of good nutrients from berries & greens and it can be made as a thick protein smoothie bowl or add more water for a shake on the go.

  • SMART CARBS: 100g Frozen berries

    GREENS: Handful of spinach (don’t worry you don’t taste this - just an quick way to add some green goodness!)

    PROTEIN: Scoop of protein powder (I use Awesome supplements chocolate salted caramel)

    FATS: 30g Almond butter (I use Pip & Nut)

    Added extras for…

    THE MIND: 1 tsp Matcha powder (I use Teapigs Matcha powder)

    THE GUT: VSL#3 probiotics

    SMOOTHIE BOWL TOPPINGS: Chopped nuts, fruit, oats etc.

    1. Add ingredients to nutribullet or blender

    2. Add a splash of water - just a little for a smoothie bowl or a little more if you want a smoothie to drink - Start off with less water and add slowly until your create the consistency you like

    3. If making a smoothie bowl pour mixture in a bowl and sprinkle over toppings of your choice (don't forget to track extras if counting calories!)

    4. If making a smoothie for on the go then pour into a stainless steel shaker to keep cool and drink as and when you need a little pick-me-up!

  • Ingredients as above:

    375kcals; 40g protein; 20g fat; 10g carbs

    Want to save some calories or use as a snack?

    Reduce Almond butter to 15g for 280kcals; 35g protein; 11g fat; 10g carbs

    Leave out the almond butter completely for 185kcals; 30g protein; 3g fat; 10g carbs
